MSD Partners with Seven MX

First, some history on Seven….

Early in 2013, motocross/supercross rock star James “Bubba” Stewart (who competed wearing number 7) announced a partnership with Troy Lee to produce a line of racewear from Laguna Beach, CA.  After three years of partnership, TLD and Seven parted ways so that each could focus on building new and innovative products. In 2019, the Seven brand began to operate independently and brought a new chapter to the ongoing evolution of Stewart’s brand.

Later in 2016, Seven announced a partnership with Bell Helmets to co-brand a series of products, specifically the Moto-9 Flex helmets. With this partnership adding to Stewart’s undeniable popularity, the consequential explosive reception of the Seven brand and worldwide distribution (from Andorra to Indonesia to Mexico), the Seven brand is in demand.

Which brings us to today…

The US-based Seven brand has finally arrived in Canada via Mountain Sports Distribution, based in Golden, British Columbia.

“We at Seven are very excited about the partnership with MSD,” says Director of Sales, Dennis Bloch.  “Canada is a very important market for us as a brand and for the motocross community. It took us 3 years to find the right group of people that share our passion and enthusiasm for creating and selling great products. MSD business fits very well with Seven, both operationally and fundamentally. We look forward to adding MSD & Canada to our list of valuable international partners.”

Says MSD President and CEO Chuck Gorton, “Seven is a company that aligns with our goals and values here at MSD. It’s a brand with a lot of energy and one with products of a quality and character that we can truly stand behind. Seven is also a brand that is in high demand with a proven record of selling. We’re stoked to be able to offer this brand to our dealers.”

MSD will be stocking the full line of racewear and helmets and the majority of the casual-wear line for the 2019 season. Watch for Seven to appear in key dealerships across Canada, including ADM in Quebec and Blackfoot Direct in Calgary.
